Witnessing Transformation and Deliverance to Winning More Souls

I was saved in this Holy Church on May 10, 1995, during the first crusade held in Cagayan de Oro City. I was there together with my siblings and beloved parents. When we received water baptism in the Mighty Name of our Dearest LORD JESUS, that was the beginning of blessings upon our lives. Hallelujah! Praise the LORD! And when we received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, my life was completely changed.

All my vices — everything displeasing to our Dearest JESUS — were gone. At the same time, I was promoted at work. I am a seaman, working far away in distant lands. But our Dearest LORD is so good, for He transformed my life — from darkness into light. And from that moment forward,  as I continued serving our Dearest LORD JESUS, I experienced many miracles, just as you have.

A Violent Storm in the Middle of the Ocean

One of those miracles happened while we were sailing from Itaqui, Brazil, bound for China. We were in the middle of the open sea, traversing the waters of the Indian Ocean, when we encountered a violent storm — something that sometimes cannot be avoided at sea.

There in the middle of the ocean, our client — the cargo owners — advised us that despite the harsh weather conditions, we were to continue sailing until we arrived at our destination. And so we pressed on. Then, around midnight of July 10, 2025, we experienced severe rolling of the vessel. The heeling of the ship reached as high as 25 to 30 degrees.

Then suddenly, the ship’s engine died. When a vessel rolls violently, the engine stops due to the onboard fuel pump system. When the ship tilts to one side, the oil also shifts, and the engine can no longer draw fuel properly — so it shuts down without warning. And when a ship loses engine power during such conditions, the crew was placed in danger. Not only the crew, but the cargo as well — the entire vessel could capsize.

Humbly Praying

But GOD is alive, Hallelujah! Praise the LORD! My duty officer called me to come up to the bridge immediately, because the ship had suddenly lost engine power. Yet even being up there on the bridge, there was nothing I could do. The ship had come to a complete stop with no engine power. There was nothing I could do about the situation.

So I told the duty officer, “Wait for me here,” because the ship’s roll had become extremely severe. I thought we were already done for. I said, “Let me go down to my cabin for a moment — I am going to pray.”

You see, beloved brethren, because of the first prayers of our Beloved Honorable Parents in the LORD, their prayers know no distance. Wherever in the world you may be, in whatever corner of the earth, the prayers of our Beloved Honorable Parents in the LORD will reach you.

In my short prayer, I said, “LORD, have mercy on me. I am not worthy to come before You, for I am a sinful person. But have mercy on me, Dearest LORD JESUS, because truly, I am not the captain of this ship — You are my Captain. Help me in my decision-making, so that every decision I make will be the right one.” Sometimes, we make what are called impulsive decisions, and sometimes those decisions are wrong.

GOD Answers

After praying, I went back up to the bridge and sang songs of praise, for as Christians, even when we are far from our Holy Church, we continue to praise our Dearest LORD JESUS. And so I praised our Dearest LORD, singing just a few songs, a few worship songs. When I returned to the bridge, the duty officer said, “Sir, it has come back — the engine power has been restored.”

Because the engine was running again, I was free to maneuver the vessel and minimize the ship’s severe rolling. In short, our Dearest LORD heard our little prayer. Hallelujah! Praise the LORD! For on my own, my prayer alone would not have been heard by our Loving LORD. But because of the prayers of our Beloved Honorable Parents in the LORD, our little prayer was heard. Hallelujah! Praise the LORD! And we arrived safely at our destination, with everyone unharmed.

The Chief Cook and His Demon-Possessed Wife

There are more miracles. There were instances when I sailed with Indian nationals. On that ship, there were only two of us Filipinos — all the rest were Indian nationals.

One day, the chief cook of the ship came to me. Because we were of different nationalities, English was our official language on board. The cook said to me, “Captain, I need to go home immediately because my wife has gone terribly ill from demonic possession.” I replied, “Okay, I will inform the office accordingly.”

Then,  because one of our duties as Christians is to share the Word of our Dearest LORD and His goodness, I spoke to him. I said, “You have your Hindu gods — why don’t you call on your Hindu gods to ask for some assistance so that your beloved wife might be healed from that affliction?” And I added, “Perhaps your god could help you out.”

The chief cook replied negatively. He said, “Sir, by this time, my . . . gods could do nothing. Despite my wife having gone to the temple more frequently, my . . . gods could not really heal my wife’s affliction.” Their gods’ power, he explained, was limited — they had 2,000 gods, but the power of those gods was limited.

So I said to him, “I have my JESUS. He is the only GOD, but His power has no limits. If you accept and believe JESUS CHRIST as your personal Savior, He could do something better for you.”

Faith from Hearing the Word of GOD

When the chief cook heard the good tidings about our Dearest Loving GOD, he immediately decided to be baptized in the Name of our Dearest Loving GOD. Then I said to him, “Do you have a photo of your beloved wife? Can you please bring it to me so that I can lay my hands on it?” Because I told him, “The prayers of our Beloved Honorable Parents in the LORD know no distance — your beloved wife will be healed of her illness.”

And beloved brethren, through miraculous means, his beloved wife was healed. Then one day, that cook came to me, overjoyed, and said, “Captain, of all the . . . gods, JESUS is the most powerful among them.” Hallelujah! Praise the LORD!

More Accepted Him

So beloved brethren, how worthy of praise are the works of our Dearest LORD! And that was not all that the miraculous LORD did there. 18 Indian nationals accepted JESUS CHRIST and received water baptism in the Name of our Dearest JESUS. Thanks be to the prayers of our Beloved Honorable Parents in the LORD — for through their prayers, even people of other races can be saved by our Dearest JESUS.

Evil Spirits Driven Out Through Praise

Beloved brethren, there was also a part of that ship where no one could work because the crew members there would suddenly get hurt, so no one was able to do their job. The Indian nationals said, “We leave this work to you because we cannot carry it out.” So beloved brethren, because there were wandering evil spirits dwelling in that area, I went there and praised the LORD in that place.

After I finished praising, beloved, one of the Indian nationals was there. I said to him, “Come with me — since you are a prayer warrior at the Hindu temple, come and join me in worshiping our Dearest LORD.” He was afraid of me. He said, “No, I don’t like to go with you, Captain. I should stay here — better to stay here.”

But beloved brethren, through the grace of our LORD, praise carries the power to drive away evil spirits. And so after lifting praise to our Dearest LORD in that area, they were able to work freely, without any disturbance.

Beloved brethren, my testimony has grown rather long, so allow me to close here. All glory, thanksgiving, and praise belong to our Dearest LORD JESUS alone — and to Him alone. Praise be to our Dearest JESUS.
